I think that this looks quite original and I like the overall look of it. The colors contrast, but not in a bad way, and the patterns, although they appear to repeat, still look different because of the contrasting colors.

I also like that at the bottom and top of the image, there are shapes that appear to be openings that look out into a space-like image, something that looks uniquely different, with something that looks like little galaxies surrounding it. I'm not sure if this is what you were going for, but it looks space-like in the overall design and futuristic as well.
